The owner sent me some pictures. I just dont like his lower teeth showing like that. He's two years old. Do you think i should get this dog?

Should I buy this shih-poo dog? (PICTURES INCLUDED)?
Please don't buy a mutt/mixed breed when there are millions that will die in shelters this year. The people who breed these dogs are incredibly irresponsible, and they are contributing to those deaths. Don't support them!
Reply:No... get a dog from a shelter... you would be saving a life and most are WAY cuter than that.
Reply:Very cute but I'm more into Rat Terriers! I like rat terrier smooth coats mine just had puppies five weeks ago but there all sold accept a liitle boy!
Reply:If you want a mutt, rescue one.

The only thing I would pay for is an adoption fee.
Reply:Rather than buying a mutt, rescue one just like it from a shelter or the pound.

The Shih-poo had a nice clip, the groomer did good.
Reply:Yes. It looks really cute.
Reply:it is mega cute with its bows but bet its a rite yelp!! buy a real dog like a boxer lol
Reply:He's a cutie but it might be cheaper to just adopt a dog like this one.

It's always a little risky buying from breeders.
Reply:no... i dont think that its.. i dont know... nothing i would want to have.. i would rather adopt from shelter!
Reply:A Shih Poo is not a breed. It is a mixed breed. There is nothing wrong with mixed breeds, they are fine animals. However why PAY for one? You are essentially PAYING for what used to be labels as a "free puppy". Get one from a shelter. Adopting animals gets animals off of streets. Purchasing these designer non-breeds only perpetuates animal over population
Reply:if your hearts set on it. Go ahead, just realize that this dog is 2 years old... I would ask what problems he has and why is this woman selling a 2 year old, perfectly fine dog? Why isnt she giving it away?

Anyway, as for the teeht, there isnt anything wrong with that either, Shih Tzus almost always have an underbite. Its part of there breed. Because its a mixed breed i am sure the breeder did give a HOOT about how undershot the Shih Tzu Parents jaw was before crossing it with the poodle. I think it gives the dog character. It looks like the little Pregnant Shih I fostered not long ago, my dad has her now as his dog with his Cavalier and Minx is great, she has her bottom teeth showing like that and almost all her puppies did too. She ate and did everything fine and normal.
Reply:Awwwww!!! How could you not? Just look at that face!!

BUT.....you need to get a dog that you are happy with. You're the one who will be responsible for taking care of it. Look somewhere else if you are having doubts.

Boxers, Shih Tzu's and French Bulldogs are great dogs and there are plenty in shelters waiting on new homes.
