Gap between front teeth, and some other problem, please help.?

I hit a cement wall before, and it broke part of my front teeth.

Now I have a gap between my front teeth, and I am wearing braces, but it doesn't seem to help to close the gap. So do you know what I should do?

Also here is a picture of my actual teeth, if you need to know more about it. http://i11.tinypic.com/5y1vujk.jpg

The gap will eventually close with the ortho treatment. The dentist will possibly place a bonding (to fix the broken part) after your ortho is complete, or during if possible, and when your through with growing he may recommend veneers. It wouldn't be advisable to place the veneers now since your teeth haven't fully erupted yet, they would only need to be replaced a few years later. Hope I've been of some help and good luck with your ortho treatment. Your teeth are looking good from what I could tell from the photo.
Reply:My brother did the exact same thing doing the butterfly stroke while swimming and came down on the pool. The dentist made coverings for his missing sections, but they've never been too permanent so he had the dentist yank out his teeth and put in fake ones.
Reply:ask your dentist or research online
Reply:Ask your orthodontist about a Power Chain. They work well to close gaps.
Reply:BBBBBBBBBWAHHHHH loolololol poor baby u need veneers
Reply:Don't worry. I had a gap when I was a child and it closed once my wisdom teeth came in. Also, when your teeth straighten out a bit more, your orthodontist can work miracles to make them look perfect, even if it means putting a crown over them. There are cosmetic procedures that he can do to make them look great. Try not to lose any sleep over this.
Reply:Your orthodontist should be able to close the gap with the braces, i had a gap too but my braces closed it off, so talk to your orthodontist.
Reply:It looks like you may need a bonding put on the tooth... after the ortho is done... but if you don't like the way that looks you can always have a crown placed over the tooth to make it look just like your other teeth same color and everything... this procedure would have to wait until you get older and your teeth have fully erupted....
Reply:Ok...Well i have a gap in my front teeth also. I have had this gap since I was born ( I am 12) and in two weeks I am getting braces. My dentist said that I would have to get braces first and then a after my braces come off I will get this retainer type thing that will go in the back of my front two teeth and that will stay in for another two years. I hope this helps, and I know the embarassment ur going through, but in reality in really doesnt look that bad...i looked at the picture and ur teeth look amazing just be greatful that the rest of ur teeth and straight.
