Hi I'm going through the process of having an invisalign brace and Ive been taking photos each day of the progress on my teeth, I want to be able to join all of the photos up and make a smooth video showing the gradual change.
The problem is that each of the pictures are aligned slightly differently so I will probably need to adjust each one so they have the same central point of reference (otherwise it will be too jerky)
What is the best (and cheapest!) and quickest way to do this?

Reply:I think the Windows Movie Maker is the smoothest app for you. If you have tried it, use Sony Vegas, but i recommend adjusting photos with some photo editing program like Adobe Photoshop.

My fiance won't behave for pictures. What to do?
My fiance and I got some pictures taken the other day and he looked like he was in agony. His mom and sister were taking them so that might be why but why couldn't he just buck-up, swallow his pride, and smile for the camera?
I'm about to tell the photographer to forget trying to take pictures of him because he'll just be an *** anyway. I try to talk to him about it and he go's off on how photographers always ask him to "SMILE" and that he would smile but he looks ridiculous. He looks so handsome when he's not showing teeth and happy, but when he's in front of the camera, it's like someone's pulling out his fingernails. I'd rather have a few good candid shots instead of a bunch with him frowning and attacking the camera with evil eyes. What to do?

Reply:Assuming you'll be hiring a professional photographer for the wedding - he'll instruct your husband on how to pose, smile, etc. Normally in the formal setting of a wedding, and given the seriousness of the vows they've just taken, even the biggest picture phobe will behave.

Imagine what your getting yourself into once your married.

I don't know what else to say because it's hard for me to sit for pictures (it's very uncomfortable). It feels forced and fake. I'm not good at that. But I put forth a real effort. I think practice may help with him. Take out your camera and start shooting pictures. (Hope you have a digital camera so he can see how he looks. that may help). Best of luck to you.

Most any picture that has ever been taken of me has my middle finger in between me and the camera lens. I just don't like my picture to be taken! I don't feel that I am very photogenic. I hate when people tell me to smile! I tell them that I already am!
Reply:good luck! i had the same prolem but not with my husband but with his family. his mom and brother look pissed off in the photos i dont even want to order any of them. its just something we have to deal with when we marry people. sorry but be glad my husband was trying to be tuff with his friends but in the ones with just him he smiled. good luck

Have the photog take pics from the waist up. When the photog says smile, just cup and rub your DH, that will put a smile on his face!

I'd like to have my rotting teeth removed and have full mouth dental implants. How?
I can't seem to find a general price on anything and no one seems willing to share the price unless I actually go there in person which means forking out more cash.
Surely there's a general price for having all teeth removed and replaced with dental implants. I didn't know it was possible until I saw a plastic surgery show where a guy had a face lift - and then went to a type of dentist that showed him two full mouth implants and then an after picture of him smiling with his perfect teeth (Unfortunately, they never went into detail on how it would work. It didn't relate to plastic surgery, I suppose).
I'd like to have my rotting teeth removed and have full mouth dental implants. How?
Be aware not everyone is eligible for implants no matter how much money they have. Poor gums/infection are 2 reasons to defer implants. It is not so simple to say "just give me implants ". If your teeth are rotting out of your mouth, go to a dentist to evaluate you !

I like a guy with very crooked teeth. It bothers me. Is there a tactful way to initiate a talk about braces?
I know that it is superficial to be turned off by crooked teeth - I'm not perfect either - and I wouldn't stop dating him b/c of it since he has other amazing qualities, but I wanted advice on how I could tactfully broach the subject without hurting his feelings, or if I even can? I know he has always been self-conscious about this, he never smiles in pictures, getting them fixed would improve his self-confidence, and he has the money to do it. I just don't know if I can even say anything since the subject is so sensitive. I know most of you will say he deserves someone better than me for even asking this question, but please try to be kind in your answers.

Speaking as a guy with bad teeth (I am missing two right in front) this is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart.
I think it is very superficial to pay more attention to what is in his mouth than what is in his heart. If he is good to you and treats you nice then what difference does it make if his teeth are crooked?
Chances are he has already thought about braces a lot and maybe just hasn't gotten them for one reason or another. Those of us with bad teeth usually do think about it so you bringing it up is only going to make him self conscious no matter how you do it.
If it is that big an issue for you then just bring it up. Ask him and he will either respect your honesty or change his opinion of you for being so superficial.

Reply:i would gently broach the subject by trying to take pics of the two of you, and then ask him to smile. if/when he doesn't, ask him *innocently* why he doesn't smile in pics. hopefully, when he answers, he'll say something about his teeth, at which time you should bring up braces, especially invisalign, which you can't see, and are essentially just retainers that you change every couple of weeks. good luck!
Reply:You should wait until you are completely comfortable around him and he is comfortable around you too. Get past the "awkward" stage in your relationship. and once you guys know eachother real well- you could bring it up nicely. If you know for sure that is why he isn't smiling in his pictures - once you know eachother real well - you should ask him why he never does. If he tells you - then suggest the clear type braces. It isn't mean to want to ask this. My husband waited a couple years to ask me. And I loved the idea cause I always hated my teeth.

If he brings up the subject and speaks out about his insecurities, then you could tactfully suggest braces to "boost his confidence". But I definitely don't think you should bring that subject up yourself out of nowhere. It might make him feel even worse about his teeth, and perhaps he could even feel as if he isn't good enough for you either.

I would not say ONE WORD about his teeth unless he says something first. I am 25 and had braces put on 6 months ago. So for about 20 years, I was embarrassed by my smile and hated people telling me I should do this or that. I'm not dense. But there was always something. If it wasn't money, it was time. If it wasn't time, it was just embarrassment. Trust me, he knows the options out there and he has his reasons for not going. You telling him to get braces is not going to enlighten him one bit. Start out with yourself and if he sees that you are comfortable talking about his, then he might want to join. But don't force it on him.

If it would help his confidence then try to tactfully approach the subject. Maybe find an informative article and leave it somewhere that he could find it. And there could be valid reasons to need something like this done. It can increase the risk of cavities.....

I like a guy with very crooked teeth. It bothers me. Is there a tactful way to initiate a talk about braces?
Speaking as a guy with bad teeth (I am missing two right in front) this is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart.
I think it is very superficial to pay more attention to what is in his mouth than what is in his heart. If he is good to you and treats you nice then what difference does it make if his teeth are crooked?
Chances are he has already thought about braces a lot and maybe just hasn't gotten them for one reason or another. Those of us with bad teeth usually do think about it so you bringing it up is only going to make him self conscious no matter how you do it.
If it is that big an issue for you then just bring it up. Ask him and he will either respect your honesty or change his opinion of you for being so superficial.

Reply:Yep. Either you like him or you don't. His teeth are none of your business. It's not your place to convince him to get braces. I'm sure he knows what his teeth look like, and he may be perfectly happy with them, or, maybe can't afford them.

Reply:i would gently broach the subject by trying to take pics of the two of you, and then ask him to smile. if/when he doesn't, ask him *innocently* why he doesn't smile in pics. hopefully, when he answers, he'll say something about his teeth, at which time you should bring up braces, especially invisalign, which you can't see, and are essentially just retainers that you change every couple of weeks. good luck!
Reply:You should wait until you are completely comfortable around him and he is comfortable around you too. Get past the "awkward" stage in your relationship. and once you guys know eachother real well- you could bring it up nicely. If you know for sure that is why he isn't smiling in his pictures - once you know eachother real well - you should ask him why he never does. If he tells you - then suggest the clear type braces. It isn't mean to want to ask this. My husband waited a couple years to ask me. And I loved the idea cause I always hated my teeth.
Reply:Just bring up that you'd like to see him smile more and ask why he hasn't gotten braces if it bothers him- it's better to be honest than to skip around the question, that way you'll set the tone for the relationship and remember to back him up with it.
Reply:That's a tough one -- the only thing I can think of is if you both go have some sort of make-over together and let the attendant mention it to him and see what he says! Dental work can be pricey, so are you willing and able to help him out if he needs it?

I would slip an invisiline pamplet or something on his table or something so he can see it, he won't know that you put it there but it would get the idea in his head...and even if he doesn't get them, like you said ...you wouldn't stop dating him b/c of it.

If he brings up the subject and speaks out about his insecurities, then you could tactfully suggest braces to "boost his confidence". But I definitely don't think you should bring that subject up yourself out of nowhere. It might make him feel even worse about his teeth, and perhaps he could even feel as if he isn't good enough for you either.
Reply:Are your teeth perfectly straight? If not, I would start by telling him that you are thinking about braces, or just going to the dentist to see what he can do to improve your smile. I would not say ONE WORD about his teeth unless he says something first. I am 25 and had braces put on 6 months ago. So for about 20 years, I was embarrassed by my smile and hated people telling me I should do this or that. I'm not dense. But there was always something. If it wasn't money, it was time. If it wasn't time, it was just embarrassment. Trust me, he knows the options out there and he has his reasons for not going. You telling him to get braces is not going to enlighten him one bit. Start out with yourself and if he sees that you are comfortable talking about his, then he might want to join. But don't force it on him.

I have a science fair project due tomorrow and I need pictures of people who have used listerine agent cool blue and have blue on their teeth. Post them on the answer or email them to me at my yahoo. NO nudity or any thing gross like that.

Help me make a deciosion, about teeth????
Ok, so I have horrible horrible teeth and my ortho is suggesting that I take out my laterals, and then turn my cuspids into laterals...but in that way I won't have any cuspids. Now of corse he will shape the cuspida and make them look like laterals but should I do it?
Do you guys think I will look horrible, and if you have some pictures with people who have turned their cuspids into laterals please show me......help me make a decision please!!!!!

Something wrong here. Removing laterals and trying to make cuspids look like laterals will not be attractive result. It just can't be done well. Have never heard of it being done in 25 years+ experience. Go get a 2nd opinion.

Ask your orthodontist about them. The laterals come out, the space is filled by two implants and you don't have to sacrifice your cuspids. This may or may not be a viable option - but ask!
If you do have your teeth reshaped, it's unlikely that it would be noticeable to anyone but you and your dentist.
Reply:I am not an orthodontist but this sounds very unusual. Usually people with crowded teeth have to have their 1st or 2nd premolars taken out. You definitely need a 2nd opinion. Seriously!!
