My teeth are pretty straight but spaced out?

My teeth are pretty straight but have a fair amount of space in between them all, a bit more noticeable on my top teeth though. Personally I don't mind it but I have wondered what people think about it. I know you can't tell me how I look as I don't have a picture to show you, but what is your general view on peoples teeth, and people with spaces?

I say, don't worry about it. I know that some people get a "complex" over things like that, but it seems not to bother you. That's all that matters. If you are happy with yourself, YOU have to look at yourself in the mirror every morning.

Personally, I don't care. I look for far more than gaps in teeth...like personality, character, humor, etc.
Reply:i have the same problem ,

i mean , its not a noticeably bad thing .. but i feel self conscious a lot when everybody else has teeth that aren't spaced out..

if i got braces to get rid of the spaces, how long would i have to have them for?

and can't you get a retainer for that? Report It

Reply:There are several ways to correct it. Your Dentist may advice Dental Bondings, Veneers or Orthodontics. Again, seek the advice of your dental health professional to choose the procedure that's best for you

Good Luck
Reply:As long as you have all your teeth and they are fairly white and clean then its all good with me. Crooked, jacked up, and missing teeth are a turn off!
Reply:i personally get turned off when people have bad teeth. i mean, i used to have a gap right in the middle of my 2 front teeth, and i really could not wait until i got braces to get them fixed. if the space is about 1 mm wide, i do suggest getting something done, because that'd just be too spaced apart. but if you find thatyou are okay with it, and it does make you you, then do whatever you want. keep it, get rid of it, flaunt it, whatever will float your boat.

i didn't like my gap and my boat was not afloatin' so i got it fixed.
Reply:I guess teeth are an important part of a person's face/appearance, because they're an important part of person's smile. Generally; white, good-looking teeth indicate good hygeine.

Regarding gaps, I think a -severe- gap (particularly between the front two teeth), can draw attention. Think Madonna, or Danielle from America's Next Top Model (6).

However, gaps/overbites/etc, can also look quite cute. It's can be a unique characteristic, you know? :) Angelina Jolie has a bit of an overbite and Adriana Lima's teeth are a bit crowded. But they're both very beautiful women, and not only do those flaws in their teeth not matter - I think it gives them charm. Sometimes, the porcelain veneer look (ala Doctor Phil) that see on certain celebrities can look a bit too 'perfect'/fake.
