Does an emu have teeth?

Curious if anyone knows if an emu has teeth. I'm not sure if this is a fake picture, but if you search images on yahoo the 1st pic that comes up is an emu with this canine looking teeth but it looks like it might be fake. Does anyone know the correct answer to this?

Does an emu have teeth?
No, they are a bird, so they do not have teeth.

They do peck really good, and defend their territory, so they are just as dangerous without teeth.

Strange...but they call the Emu's skin leather and make a variety of products with it.
Reply:Emu's dont have teeth, they have beaks.....having been chased by a number of the buggers and pecked I can attest to the truthfulness of my statement.
Reply:lol that's a weird pic .... no they don't
Reply:Their diet consists of fruits, flowers, insects, seeds and green vegetation; love caterpillars. Ingest large stones into gizzard to aid grinding process. Need water daily.

Since they have a gizzard like other birds, they do not have teeth.

Here is another photo in Yahoo Images that is not doctored:

Reply:I don't think any birds have teeth.
Reply:nope
Reply:Nope, no teeth but a hook on the beak that you would swear was teeth if you get bitten!

I have raised emu and rhea, and their bite really can hurt!

However, their kick is much worse. It feels like you have been kicked by a horse.
Reply:don't know but if it has ,STAY AWAY FROM IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
