How long will it take for braces to fix the gaps in my teeth? (pictures)?

So I have these gaps in my teeth that I%26#039;ve had since almost two years ago, when i lose my last baby tooth. I was told by some of my friends that they%26#039;d eventually close on their own, but knowing eighth graders, it can be hard to trust their opinion when some of them haven%26#039;t even had braces yet. But anyways, I included pictures to show how big the gaps were. (i took them with my camera phone and the quality is kind of poor; it looks like i have gross teeth). They are straight for the most part, but while my top teeth have gaps in the front, the bottom ones are too close together. I know that evrybody%26#039;s teeht are different, but Anybody have an estimate?





Oh, and also, do ceramic braces stain very easily? An option I was considering.

i had all my gaps closed and am in a retainer right now. my teeth are dead straight and before they were jacked up. id say probally 1 and a half to 2 years
Reply:maybe 2 or 3 years. I had my braces on for almost 3 years. I don%26#039;t know about ceramic braces but I think normal braces are the best.
Reply:about 2-3 years maximum on the gaps... the orthodontists will try to make your teeth perfect so that may not be all thats wrong with them in their eyes...


i would stick with normal braces because after a while you can%26#039;t even tell that you have them... i still have people all the time saying to me,%26quot; you have braces... i never noticed...%26quot;
